March Update

I thought I'd start doing a little monthly update exclusive to patrons to show them what I'm up to. I usually work a month or two ahead, just in case I get sick or something happens, which means I normally have one or two ports ready and pending while I'm busy working on something new.

So here's what you can look forward to over the coming weeks:

• the low res version of the new Elyden World Map, the high res version for which I posted last week. this is a big one and I've really been looking forward to sharing this one after finishing it off a while back

• new maps and lore info on two new regions - the Barrier Lands, and Zhariah.

• a new art and lore post detailing the nature of shaping and magick in the empire, including (hopefully) newly commissioned art showing off a typical shaper.#

• I'm also looking around for new artists to help me bring some characters and places to life, so I'll hopefully be making more new art-related posts over the coming months.

• I'm just finishing off a map detailing one of the oldest regions in Elyden - the so-called forest kingdoms of Malan. this is a place that has existed in my head for about 20 years, and which I've kept on putting off some some reason or another (oh yes, I know why - it's so damned big! Where I've divided other big regions into two maps in the past (western and eastern Surrach, and western and eastern Gnoth for instance), I decided to depict Malan as one. I may come back and revisit individual regions in the future, which will give me a reason to flesh out their lore and add more cities. here's a sneak peek of the map, sans borders, markers and labels.

  

  I've just started working on a new map detailing a few new island regions, known as the Coral Baronies, the Shield Isles, and the Shibbotha isles. I'm looking forward to this one as islands make for a bit of a break from all the lands.

  

  So, that's the next few months sorted.
