the Dam of St. Simeol

This is another part of the world I've wanted to get art for for a while - a monolithic dam that stretches across a sea to protect the cities behind it from the lowering sea levels that have blighted the rest of the world.

This one includes some more great art commissioned specifically for the project by the great Dominique Van Velsen, whose fast becoming my favourite artist to work with. I just love his work and it brings out the gritty feel of Elyden out perfectly.

This is available to use as per the CC licence on the image itself.

Some of the maps with shallow gradients have an indicator showing the coastline 1000 - 2000 years ago. Most notable are the Laaskha and Andiluth maps. A full world map might not show the difference very well though, but an inner sea comparison map is something I've been wanting to do

I've always found "megalithic" structures and unique buildings fascinating, not many authors use them. Have you ever thought of doing a map that shows Elyden before the seas started to recede? Or have they not receded THAT much?

thanks :)

Amazing, I'm a very big fanatic of dams and in fantasy they are not so diffused.
