Ramblings at Antarctic Proportions - 2024 in conclusion (+ January 2025 schedule)

This version of me summarizing the previous year will most likely be of another tone than my previous ramblings. While 2023 was a bad year, 2024 was one of my best. I had ups and downs like any other person would but I have to summarize the previous year as a mostly positive span of time.

It started with some controversies surrounding the end of the New Tenant, but I think we have all moved past that. Some liked it, some didn’t. I did, and I’ve enjoyed this “Season 2” a lot. As I’ve said, some parts of A Young Couple’s Journey have been in the books for quite a while and those parts were almost on the level of enjoyment writing as Discoveries of a Young Man had initially. So of course, I hope you guys will enjoy the next arch. It will be the final one and I’m sort of aiming to wrap it up in 2025, but we will see. As it stands, I’ve planned about 9-10 parts more, for better or worse.

We also saw quite the success with My Neighbor. When I first started that series I had no idea it would catch on like it has, but it has been quite fun to see how much enjoyment some of you get from it. I know it has been dragging on a bit. I just want to take a quick moment to say thank you for the support on this series, and I really hope to see at least some of you guys as we transition into new waters.

My plans for 2025 are simple for this first period. Wrap up My Neighbor, Hooker Addiciton, Lisa’s Co-Worker(A humble apology about not being able to finish it in time in December), the Strange House, and TNT/AYCJ. Some of these series have been going on for over a year, and more, so I guess it is weird to see all these series conclude in due time, but I think it is fair to say it is also high time. At least for some of these.

Then I hope to work on that series I’ve already posted the first part of, which is still untitled(titles are one of my weaker points), but other than that and TNT/AYCJ I haven’t planned anything else in the straight-up NTR/cuckolding/cheating realm. I have the afore-and-often-mentioned trophy couple of course, but that will happen when it happens. As for what I will do instead, well, I did state when I wrote Cassandra’s Adventure that I only wanted to test my hand at this realm of erotic literary fiction(ntr, cuckolding etc), and I dare say I’ve done so and then some. So there is a finite amount of stories I’m able to motivate myself to write, and I can tell that that number is not too far away.

That is not to say I’ll quit writing. I’m probably very serious when I say that I love writing and that I’d spend my entire time writing and nothing else if I could. Instead, I want to write a few projects I’ve had in the back pocket, and most likely try my hand a bit more at “real” literature. As some of you know, that is my background so the creative sparks I’ve had over the years have made me miss it. Whether I do it here under the Antarctic banner or transition back to my “real” writing career remains to be seen.

I made some false hopes about Survivor Tales, but yes, that is on the menu. I also have a few other ideas, such as a sci-fi about an “alternative” storyline to our own, and also a psychological thriller. I want to make The Strange House into a book too, and some other projects. But one thing at a time. These are things that can take years.

But that means getting unbanned from Amazon, which I somehow got banned from (as well as PayPal). I assume all that will get sorted eventually, though.

Another thing I thought was good about 2024 was the amount of writing contests we were able to host on the Discord servers. I think we totaled 3 contests, which is a lot in my opinion as it is purely community-driven. And speaking of community, one of the great joys of being an erotic writer is just that. The close proximity to readers has sometimes been a bit overwhelming at times, but in 2024 I have to say it has been a net positive.

From new faces around the community to seeing all the veterans still around. From the constructive feedback to the awesome and sometimes wild suggestion of where to take my stories.

And we’ve seen a lot of new writers come and go. As many of you know, I love it when new folks take up writing for better or worse. It has brought me a lot of joy through the years so it really strikes home when I see others take part and enjoy it as well. When I started, it was me and one other writer(Avid) in this community, and when he quit it was just me for a good while. But now, we’re multiple servers and a good flock of writers across the platforms.

On that note, we have seen several returns, not just in the community. From CraptainPlanet, the Anora, to Zarlos(fingers-crossed), and more. I’d also like to give a shoutout to Joko who has come a long way from where he and I sat down to help him pick up the pencil. For a while, I was his sensei, but this year I can say that his progress and several successful series that he has become someone to look out for.

I’ve been doing this for a few years now, and I can honestly see myself doing it for a few more. I want to end this with a thank you to my little team of MorbidOrb/Anora and Roxy for their constant and very helpful help, my beloved Patrons, and everyone else who enjoys my stories.

Also, apologies for the late schedule and update. I got drunk as fuck on New Years and I'm not longer the young fry I used to be.
