Happy Monday, gang. Here I am with Dr Stuart Ashen, sat in The world's Most Unflattering Chair. I guarantee this is Ashens as you've never seen him before. And me doing stuff on camera I've never done before. How does the above scenario have anything to do with Doggerland? Hopefully you'll get to find out this week. Maybe next, actually...
I dropped my laptop on Saturday and broke the screen. Not the end of the world; we've got Apple Care, and everything's backed up, and I'm able to use Sanja's laptop (which we bought as a backup in the inevitable event I broke my laptop again). But it might slow things down a teeeeeeeny bit. Weirdly, even this has something to do with Doggerland. All will be revealed!
We call it the ADHD Tax - the little extra costs that come from... well... being the way we are. It's tiresome tbh, but it is what it is.
I'm just finishing up the absurdly complicated graphics for this ep. Below is the one I'm currently in the middle of. They're unnecessarily involved for this ep, and I won't always go to these lengths. I've also written most of the music we need too.
It's great we have Bubblegun now to give me the space I feel the main channel videos need to be as good as they can be. Feels like we can let every ep be an event now, like I wanted, while keeping you furnished with funnies.

So! Talking of... We're going to record some more Bubblegun this week. The first episode has done well for a first ep, though obviously a lot of you listened to it on here first, so for the next batch we're going to record some extra stuff for you and put the eps out live for everyone at the same time - see if we can give it a little extra boost. It's not that we're trying to become the biggest podcast in the world or anything, but y'know... we want the people who'll like it to be able to find it. We will also be filming some at some point, once we're in the flow.
Thank you for those of you who have given it a review on Apple Podcasts - we hadn't expected that, but seems like the first ep went down well! Hurrah!
Here we are, look - I guess we're an actual thing now:

We'll do a Biffo's Brain on Thursday, if you're around - and we should have some extra stuff for the upper tiers (including a bonus podcast).
That's it for now. Much to do. Much to come.
