Happy Saturday, gang.

Latest video is... goiiiiing… sloooooowww. It’s fine. We might’ve put out too many long, heavy-ish, ones too close together. We lost a few subs at first – judging from various comments, probably ones wanting us to be funnier… and probably some who didn’t like us trying sharing take on world things that didn’t align with their views… but they’ve started going up again. Which is nice. 

It’s all a learning experience and a process of refinement. It’s an atypical sort of video anyway, so I’m not too bothered.

We’re going to try something next week that’s a bit of an experiment – a little something we can do in-between the bigger videos. We should also, hopefully, be doing a livestream soon – we just need to work out exactly what it’ll comprise. We’ll try and fit in a Let’s Play as well. We’ve been talking about putting our face in those but we'll see.

But! We’re planning the next bigger videos. We’ve got a few plates spinning simultaneously. This past week has been all about that really – we’ve fired off various emails to see if we can get access to places that aren’t necessarily open to the public. We may be chartering a boat. I had a very funny Whatsapp exchange yesterday with one of the ‘skippers’ that I’ll share on Biffo’s Brain next week.

There are some big ideas; tangential takes on topics you might’ve heard of, but we want to look at in new ways. We might also be re-visiting somewhere we’ve already been… 

And after the heavier Poland ones, I think we both need to film something that’s a bit lighter, more fun, with a bit more of us being us. I was wiped out by the edit of the Poland/Russia border video – completely exhausted by it. Worth it – because I enjoyed doing it, and I’m very proud of it – but also… can’t do that every time. 

Anyhoo. Hope you all have a splendid weekend. It should be a quiet one for us. Our cat had to have half his ear removed yesterday – costly bloody animal - because of a weird growth on it, so we’ll be keeping an eye on him. Sanja has also threatened me with the possibility of us doing some gardening, which admittedly is long, long overdue, but also... y'know. Christ.
