Well, Wednesday rolled around quite quickly folks. Here we are again with the rest of Fearless (TV) with some quick afterthoughts on the OG album to start us off. I think. I found these platinum tracks feeling like old-school deluxe tracks, aka tracks that just didn't quite live up to other versions of themselves on the full album, other than maybe one or two. As for the vault tracks, I wasn't super crazy about them either, aside from Mr. Perfectly Fine and perhaps some of the Keith Urban tracks. Weirdly, though, I feel like going back to this album made me appreciate Speak Now for its fullness and grandeur so much more. It's a really perfect end to the trilogy for her before Taylor started going down more artistically pop approaches. Speak Now is a huge step u from Fearless in terms of genre exploration and the pushing of lyrical boundaries. As for Fearless, though, even though some aesthetic got a little tired for me and the songwriting became a little bit repetitive overall, very fun and a great world-building album for Taylor. Thanks for listening with me as always, HT-Swifites :) love ya!
