As you may have seen on social media, I had a disaster at the weekend. Woke up yesterday morning, and my laptop was dead. I managed to get an appointment at the Apple Store, who ran all the tests and tried to restart it, but ultimately had to declare it kaput, likely needing a new motherboard. 

It's technically still under warranty - it's less than two years old - but for some reason I bought it from PC World, so Apple couldn't fix it. I'll take it in when I get some time this week, but they kindly printed me up a document with the fixes needed. 

Suffice to say, this was a potential disaster, with Digi Live just five days away, so I had no choice but to fork out for a new laptop to tide me over. Not an expense I needed right now, but never mind. It is what it is.

Fortunately, most of the video clips were backed up, but I lost a few important documents, and the Powerpoint that both shows were loaded into. I spent all of yesterday until almost midnight basically rebuilding everything for both Friday and Saturday. Anyhow. Whatever. We're back in a good place again, albeit slightly poorer for the experience. 

The main thing is... I'm very excited. Genuinely. I don't normally get excited for Digi Live shows. I always look forward to them, but, for some reason, this time I'm actually excited. Doing two nights makes it feel a bit less there-and-gone, I think. Like we're actually doing something really substantial, and I'm hoping it might pass in less of a blur than the previous ones. 

The Tube strike being cancelled has certainly helped, and I think I speak for all of us when I say we're bowled over by the effort you're making to get around the National Rail strike. For those coming on Friday and going home on Sunday there shouldn't be any issue now at least. 

We're not totally done putting everything together. Sanja and I have some stuff to prepare that we couldn't do in front of everyone at last week's rehearsal, and we've still got some extra video bits and pieces to record. 

Just to say, we've been struggling to make a time to meet with Harrow Arts to sort out when you can come in for your photos, but we're due to do that... Wednesday, I think? We'll keep you posted.

Anyhow. I cannot wait for Friday. And, of course, it's not too late to book tickets...
