2022-05-18 11:21:02 +0000 UTCWe did get Survivor back in its original incarnation, in 2001-2002, but it didn't do very well. Since ITV owns the format for I'm A Celebrity, it's probably cheaper and easier to just keep pumping that out rather than buying someone else's franchise.

They're generally well made and entertaining, but I see them as cinematic fast food - nothing particularly wrong with it, and fills a hole, but you know it's heavily processed, heavily branded, production line fare that will likely leave you wanting a proper meal. On a related cinematic multiverse note, I saw "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" at the weekend. Highly recommended.
