"SCARLET" by Doja Cat *FULL ALBUM STREAM

We started stream with the new Troye Sivan song though and I HIGHLY recommend jamming out to that for a bit. But SCARLET was interesting, I'm still writing my review but overall I think she accomplished what this album set out to do for her - which is to prove her as a rapper. Let me know what y'all thought of the project down below because I'm super curious, personally I like the back half way more than the front. I mentioned a stream as well that I'm feeling a little under the weather so I'm not sure if we'll go live today (Saturday) but I'm hoping to feel better by Wednesday if today doesn't happen.

I’m not sure if he intended to reference it, but I wouldn’t be surprised!

The idea of "appealing to the patriarchy might save them from it" is obviously not true. The last line in the second verse is a call back to her song "Woman" where she references Regina George from Mean Girls about how the music industry and society pits women against women. That song was both a diss track to people claiming to be both her fans and haters who hate on her for aspects of womanhood, such as looks and sexuality, but also commentary about the misogyny that exists in the music industry. Especially since female rappers are constantly pitted against each other like "Oh Cardi vs. Nicki, Doja is a Nicki copy, etc."
