AUDIO PEOPLE: CAN YOU HELP?

Hello, gang. Are any of you audio geniuses? As you may have read in my earlier post, we recorded an episode of BYAMPOD today, and somehow my mic got muted. It's a shame, because it's a REALLY good episode, and it won't be the same if we re-record it.

Basically, Sanja's mic is fine...and you can hear me through her mic - though obviously my voice is quite echoey and far away.

If any of you think you might be able to help improve it - even if it's just a bit - please let me know, and I'll send you the file. Plus a billion dollops of gratitude, obviously.

Looks like you've got some decent offers already from people who know what they're doing, but if you have a short sample and want some backup options I can give that a try tomorrow and let you know. (Low levels and a bit of noise aren't too bad IME, but removing significant reverb without making a horrible mess of the signal is hard)

Hello, squire. I'd need it relatively quickly... as it's for Monday... Obviously, it's better that it's good, than fast!

Paul Rose (Mr Biffo)

I can have a go for you, I have some fancy audio repair tools like Izotope RX9 and such

Wagoo

Can you maybe put a one minute sample somewhere for people to try?

John Veness

Happy to have a try if you like.

Chris Smith

Hope someone can help. Alas, I am but an image-monkey.

Kathy Holloway (Silph)

Of course, there are no doubt many other experts here (I recall seeing soem posts before), but would like to help if I can (or perhaps if not now, in future :))

Hi Paul, I work with audio as part of my job and could take a look to try and boost it while also applying some sound restoration processes to get a good level and as clear a sound as possible. When do you need it for (sorry if a stupid question, but currently working from my parents' place and while I have Adobe Audition to hand, I am without some headphones)

Geoffrey Easton

Feel free to pop a sample over. No promises.

John Lindsay

I'll be home in an hour, could give it a go but don't know if I'll have the time to do the whole thing. Unless there's some sort of automated way to do it that I don't know about I'd just have to go through and split the track when you and sanja are talking then have a go at your voice with compression. I'm happy to do it but it'd take a few days x

Nick
