FEEDBACK ON THIS PATREON NEEDED PLZ!
Added 2021-11-30 12:17:53 +0000 UTCHello, gang. Top Tier have just had a new video update. Short version: all is okay. As I just told them, we've now got a bunch of videos in the "can", so to speak. You should be getting at least one new Digi video this week.
Now... I've long talked about fiddling around with the tiers on here, but more and more people tell me two things: our Patreon is incredibly good value, and that we should charge a little more.
Thing is, I do like having a $1 tier for those of you who just like to support us. I like BYAMPOD remaining there are an early access thing. However, sometimes I get wracked with guilt about not offering enough, then you get a blog post or a video... and then I feel bad that I've deprived those at the $5 tier of something exclusive.
Looking around, it does seem like this Patreon is kind of underpriced... but also, I know that not all of you watch the exclusive stuff anyway. So... I thought I'd throw it to you: what are your thoughts on the current tiers, on what is offered on here, and what might convince you to upgrade from the $1 tier to the $5 tier, or what might convince you to upgrade from $5 to a higher one, were we to introduce one?
Feedback very welcome!

Late to comment but I only signed up this week. The option of the (very reasonable) lower tier is what made it an impulse decision for me to sign up. I am prepared to pay more and will likely move to the higher tier once the month rolls over - not so much for extra content (though I'm looking forward to that), but because your main output deserves it. Having a lower tier at £2 would still be impulse territory, for what it's worth.

2021-12-16 19:12:18 +0000 UTCTo directly answer the question of what would make me upgrade to a theoretical higher tier, the answer is "it being created". I know I could give more right now for no additional benefits, but for some reason deciding on an arbitrary level I'm still comfortable with is harder than just going "oh yeah that's a tier at an amount I'm fine with paying". This is definitely the Patreon with the lowest highest tier I'm a supporter of, and I'd happily go higher. I think to give a more general answer for me personally (which might or might not apply to other people), I use Patreon as a method to support creators/take away guilt for watching ad-free, with perks not being overly important to me (not least because I'll forget to read/watch them because I suck). The biggest thing I factor in in terms of what level of support I back something at is how much of a difference my lone contribution is going to make - if someone's got thousands of patrons, I'm probably going to support them at a lower level than those who don't.
