UPDATE ON ALL THE THINGS...!

Hello top tier gang. It has been a long while since I checked in with you all. The triple-whammy of Digi Live, the Kickstarter, and my elderly parents having old-person issues, and suddenly requiring quite a lot of care and attention, kind of left me a tad depleted. I'm horribly behind with messages and comments on Twitter, and Instagram, and Facebook, and here, and YouTube, and... everywhere. 

It's noticeable the difference even just having a quieter week makes, though. So, I thought I'd write something about where I'm at on all things.

In terms of the day job, the TV industry remains kind of weird. I'm waiting to hear on various projects - supposedly November or December will give us either a green or red light - but given the impact of Covid, nobody really knows what's happening or when.

Therefore, BYAMPOD and Digi remain my priority, not least given the support you continue to show me here on Patreon, and the enormous vote of confidence from the Kickstarter. The channel may be small, but your enthusiasm counts for so much more than many big channels can rely on. Seriously; without you lot, the past 18 months would've screwed me. 

This week we started planning Christmas on Digi. We had three Christmas specials last year, and I kind of want to do the same for 2021; a Supernatural World, a Pant-Oh, and an in-studio special. The latter is furthest along in the planning, as we've booked the studio for a festive edition of The Golden Bean, with Gannon, Eli, Ashens and Ryan Livermore.  And I'd quite like Sanja to be in it, if I can convince her. That may become a two-parter; Christmas and New Year. 

Supernatural World will depend on whether we can find a suitable location. We've kind of done woods to death now, and would like to do one indoors. I think a tunnel would be fun - preferably an old railway tunnel - but the only suitable one I found is way too far away. We're open to suggestions; ideally somewhere cheap, not too far from London, supernatural and/or spooky (though, frankly, it's not a deal-breaker), and preferably a bit Christmassy. 

The Pant-Oh will depend on whether I get it written. It's lower down the list of priorities given that last year's one did terribly! I did consider doing a Found Footage Christmas Special, but that might take more time than I have. We'll see. I do intend to take a chunk of time off over Christmas too...!

But I guess this is what I mean about maybe skipping the occasional week on YouTube, so that I have more time to focus on videos being more of an event, and having more time to think about them. I like it when they have a theme and a bit more creativity gone into them. Perhaps the sitting and chatting ones should be saved for Patreon. Dunno. We'll see. 

Oh yeah! We have an idea for a BYAMPOD Christmas special too; hopefully an episode of Neverland The Buzzcocks, which we may even film....
