that’s so crazy that your least favs are my most favs! i love the artistry of “novacandy”. him comparing the high of anesthetics to the highs of life is so creative. i just love some of these lyrics “even though i know it’s catch and release, dopamine overdose”. like live up the high moments in life because they come and go. i also love how this song transitions to “mourning”, almost like how the sun would rise and the song starts “don’t want to sober up, the sun is killing my vibe that’s why they call it mourning”. and tbh i think hold my breath could be my wedding song. ofc everyone can interpret love differently, but this song represents how my love would be towards my partner. alsoooo the instrumentals in this song!!! i’m a slut for some beautiful strings and the way he engraves them within this project is lovely. “landmine” is another one that had me sobbing. simply the chorus “and outside i’m burning my way through a stoplight, baby i’m fine, i’m just working my way through a deadline”. this so encompasses how it feels to still be moving forward through mental struggles and substance abuse battles. “and if you’re getting sick of it, imagine how i must feel” kills me. the singers within the chorus he used on this track with the gospel clap rhythm just makes that song feel so unified, as in he struggles himself, so he understands our pain and why we relate to his art. his growth of love, for himself and his family truly amazes me. excited to watch your stream! thanks for making a platform to discuss this art. much love for post and his journey. 🫶🏼
