MONDAY UPDATE: CORNER SHOP CORNER!

I'm still locked out of Twitter, which is a real big pisser. I've been trying to put together the Halloween episode (btw - if you want to be in the Halloween music video, please get me your clips in the next couple of days; we've only had two so far!), and this has somewhat stymied my attempts.

Currently, I'm not sure whether it's going to be a live episode, but I think it'll still be a proper Halloween special, slightly longer than a regular episode - with some nice surprises - and we'll likely do it as a premiere on YouTube, so it at least has something of that live event feel.

That might change... it might still be live, but only if I can think of a good reason to do so. The main benefit of pre-recording it is it allows me to do my big editing thing, which is still very much one of our USPs, and something that a Halloween episode would undoubtedly benefit from.

Gannon is still keen to do something live - and keeps coming up with suggestions - but I can't really see a practical way of doing it, short of having him and Eli on a monitor, or some sort of split-screen thing. We've talked about doing it outside around a fire, but that's a) Dependent on the weather, and b) Risks upsetting our neighbours. We wondered if we could socially distance at the studio where we filmed the Cheapshow 200 ep, but that feels like it wouldn't give us the face-to-face interaction we were hoping for. 

Of course, we could just throw caution to the wind, but all it takes is just one person to report us, and we're in trouble. And it doesn't set a good example, either. What I have proposed is that our episode will go out at 8pm, right after the Blocktoberfest Teletext stream ends, and after our ep has finished, we hand over to Gannon and Eli. And then we'll keep our fingers crossed, and hope we can do a live Christmas thing together. 

Something else we're planning is a new series on the channel, inspired by the opening of an EXCELLENT new convenience shop at the top of our road. It has everything... American sweets! Polish snacks! Weird drinks! 

So, we've been gearing up to do some taste tests for a while, and - without wanting to step on the toes of Cheapshow - we're going to start them again with this, sampling the sort of budget sweets, crisps and drinks, and more esoteric items, you find in corner shops. 

The eps will probably be really short - no more than five to ten minutes, and will be in addition to our regular weekly eps. We've got something specific in mind for how we present it too... and the eps are going to be short enough that we might put them out on other platforms, in addition to YouTube. 

Lastly, we've settled on what we think the new Patreon tiers will be. We've looked at what some of our favourite creators offer, and we've taken inspiration. We want to offer some more uniquely personalised content for the upper tiers... but more on that soon!
