WHAT WAS ONCE FOUND IS NOW LOST...

Morrrrning all. How we all doing? 

So, hopefully you've seen that there's another new episode of Lost Footage up on the channel. Well, mostly new. There's some genuine 'lost' footage in there too, from various places. I've got, I think, one or two more little bits and pieces that you might've already seen, which will be going into a third episode... and then we're in properly uncharted territory.

It's an odd thing, but my head hasn't been in the right place for doing regular Digi videos. We had last Sunday's livestream - we *may* do another this Sunday, hopefully with less buffering, and Gannon on the end of a phone this time - and Sanja and I filmed some eps, but... with everything going on in the world, I find it really, really hard to focus on them - both in the making of them (it's tough being upbeat on camera right now), and the editing. 

I will try and get the crisp tasting video with Sanja and I out next week (in all honesty, the thing that has been stopping me is, as ever, the sound on it is all weirded up, and I'm so tired of trying to fix sound). Before then, this weekend I'll be sharing Digitiser Live 2019 with the wider public. 

Somehow, I'm not having the same issue with Found/Lost Footage. Maybe it's the darkness in the eps. Maybe they're just more attuned to the global zeitgeist. Maybe I can get lost in the editing, and forget about stuff. Maybe... there's part of me that feels FF had such a fanatical audience, that those who loved it really loved it, that it kind of makes me feel more connected to people. Or maybe I missed doing them. Or maybe chasing subscribers with slightly less challenging content doesn't feel important right now.

Dunno! But for the foreseeable, I think the channel is going to be a mix of Found/Lost Footage, and the cosier vids/livestreams with Sanja and I. 

Anyhow, this latest ep is one I'm really, really proud of. Aesthetically, it's so much closer to what I want the series to be. I tried a few new things with it - not the you'll necessarily notice, as it's subtle - but they're kind of me playing around with ideas and techniques that I want to explore more with the series going forwards. 

Once again there IS a story buried in there for those who want to try and piece it together (the Brannigan's Vortex group on Facebook is your place for those theories)... and I'll be putting more clues and fragments into future episodes. 

My original plan for Lost Footage - before it became what it is right now, out of necessity - was to bury clues in there that would lead to something I'd hidden somewhere in the UK - like that Golden Hare book/game - for people to find. I may yet still do that in the future.  

I think the eps are slowly going to become more ambitious. I have some ideas of how to achieve it all during lockdown! 

Anyhow... that's today's update. Upper tier Patrons might get a little something extra later. But either way... I hope you're all keeping safe.
