(I GOTTA GO!!) My Stand In Ep.3 - REACTION

Comments

After watching this episode, I have a theory that Ming has been in love with Joe all along. In this episode we see a flashback of Ming seeing 'Tong' for the first time from behind on that big action movie billboard screen. Joe is Tong's stand in, and does all of the action scenes shot from behind, just like on the billboard. I bet that the person in the billboard that Ming first looked at was actually Joe, and the same goes for the mini poster that he ripped up later on. If this is correct, then Ming has actually been in love with Joe this whole time, but doesnt know it, because he assumes that the person in the billboard is Tong. Maybe Im reading too much into this lol

Joes parents are dead. When he fell off the cliff in episode 1 he died and got reborn into Joe #2 body and Joe #2 mom became Joes mom. At the end of episode 1 we went back in time of 3 years to see what happened to Joe before he died and how he met Ming.

Exactly! From my interpretation, Ming is suffering. But from what happened in ep 7, I truly believe that if we see a Ming redemption arc and the explicit suffering and discussion between the characters, I do believe this will be one of the best BLs in a long (in terms of chemistry, storyline, themes discussed...). I'm just so excited!

Wait I'm SOOOO confused... Why did he say his parents died for one when he as a mom. Also why did Wut seem to forget that he literally told him in the first episode that he knows Ming and now it seems like he doesn't know him?

Yeah, I understand why all ppl are mad at the way Ming treats Joe (that's the main problem I think, not even that he uses him as a distraction... if he genuinely tried to move on from Tong with Joe, even if it started with him imagining Tong, it would be easier to accept it and redeem him, but the way he keeps playing with Joe, like this push and pull game he does, all those mood swings, that's just unhealthy and scary). But at the same time I still feel like there's some hope for him and he's not a complete manipulative asshole like Tong. I mean, he seems to genuinely love his sister and care about her a lot, listen to her opinion. He didn't deny what she said about him being happy with Joe and seemed to consider that even. Idk, maybe I just tend to defend red flags in the series. But before redemption arc Ming definitely has to suffer a lot and reconsider lots of things. Hope they'll show us his inner growth until he deserves to be with Joe.

Can't wait for Alyx to react to episodes 6 and 7!!!!!! Also, although in theory we should cheer for Joe and Sol, it just can't happen. Don't wanna spoilers, but in the present time of My Stand In (since ep 1 through 4 are the past) Ming seems like the "meant to be". Even though there is way too much drama and toxicity with Ming towards Joe, I still believe the only one to blame is Tong. So excited!!!!

Everyone knows that Sol is the better choice and also that it will not gonna happen. Ngl I know that rationally, but I just don't like him that much. He's nice I guess. Can't wait for ep 4, it's a wild one.

Damnnnn, this pains me to see Joe loving this man who's a walking red flag to him. There may be feelings for him there, but Ming... you can't use Joe as a distraction and pretend he's Tong to you. On top of that, there was no communication of him dating Joe, so why is he getting so possessive and mad at him for? Smh I also wonder what happened with Tong and Ming at that moment? I want to think that something happened between the two because when he came back to Joe's place, his clothes looked out of place and he looked... tired. Hmmm... And also towards the end? Ooooh, I wanted to punch Ming in his face. Drunk or not, that was a stab through Joe's heart. Sol is still available, Joe! I'm just saying! He's the one for you!
