Candy Color Paradox Ep8 - REACTION

Comments

I honestly see both sides. I get where the early comment is coming from, but I also see Kabu's side of things because like you said, he didn't want Onoe to turn into him. Kabu's whole job is taking pictures and deceiving people. Right in the first episode, we see him deceiving two girls just to get info out of them and he's willing to sleep with whoever whatever it takes and it's obvious that he doesn't like doing that so because Onoe wasn't the type of person to do that, that's why he's drawn to him. Up until this point, all of their jobs have just been taking pictures of people and writing about their scandalized relationships. Even with that last job with the porn thing, Onoe was upfront about having to get info from Inami so he can write an article so to see Onoe actually deceiving someone to get a scoop like him, it turned him off. Two wrongs don't make a right of course, but it's understandable why Kabu was okay with Onoe just exposing relationships vs actually doing a job where he has to lie to get a scoop but I really liked it and I'm interested in reading the manga now!

I love this series. I am happy with it.

While I wouldn't say overall it was bad, I definitely preferred the manga. It has a lighter more comedic tone and the plot flows more smoothly there. I didn't particularly like that they jumped around to different parts of the manga.

I honestly didn't like this last minute conflict they introduced. I feel like Onoe did nothing wrong, but was being gaslit to believe he did. I felt like this job, out of all the other ones he did, was the most justified. Before, his jobs were initially just catching people in secret relationships and exposing them just for a big scoop, which I thought was pretty shitty. But while doing so, they just so happen to find out a much more serious issue was at play both times. This time however, from the start it was about catching someone who's scamming the elderly out of lots of money. Is it really so bad that Onoe deceived someone whose very job is to deceive people and take their money? That's justice in my book.
