September Updates: Tier Changes

first off, let me begin by thanking you all.  your responses to my last update post were incredibly kind and uplifting, and it really reinforced just how fortunate I am to know you all, and for your outstanding support and generosity.  you really are the best.  thank you all so much <3

so, about those proposed changes.  i think I've nailed them down for the most part, and here's a general picture:

• the monthly newsletter/art zine for the $1 tier turned out to be more work than I planned for, and so i will be discontinuing it.  to make up for this I'm going to try to make something little and fun every month-- a simple twine game, a song, some desktop wallpapers, etc-- that will be available to patrons of this tier and above.  the spontaneity of this approach is a lot more natural to me, and hopefully it'll result in a more interesting variety of fun stuff for you!
• going forward, the $8 tier will be consolidated down into the $5 tier, meaning that $5 Ruby Robins will have monthly access to both phantom_houses AND broken_cities, and the $8 Diamond Dove tier will be phased out.  the reason for this change is to hopefully attract more patrons, because the store in which I work part-time is closing at the end of this month and I'm going to be out of a job.  i'm sincerely sorry to any Diamond Doves who might be upset by this devaluation (though I suspect exactly none of you are because you're all so terribly kind, but just in case), but I wanted to make a change that would give more things to more people, rather than taking anything away from anyone.  i will of course completely understand anyone who reduces their $8 pledge to $5 as a result of this, no hard feelings!
• as for my Council of Crows... i'm not sure.  i've failed pretty consistently to keep up with their monthly sigils, but of course they are all exceedingly forgiving.  if any of my dear Crows would like to email me their thoughts on the matter or DM me on twitter, I would welcome any feedback or suggestions.  i would still like to do something special for you all each month in exchange for your great generosity, so let's figure it out together!

so, there we have it!  if you would all be so kind, I would ask that anyone who currently has the $8 reward tier claimed change their claim to the $5 tier.  all of the things that would normally be exclusive to the $8 tier will be available to the $5 tier this month and in future, so you won't miss anything in the translation.

and finally, if I could ask you all a tremendous favor: if you know anyone who might enjoy my work, who is interested in exploration or architecture or sentient ruins or phantom lights or haunted cities or any other kind of digital strangeness, please introduce them to my work, and suggest they support me here.  the near future is tenuous but I'm confident I'll survive it, however with more support i have a better chance of finally pursuing self-employment and full-time creative output.  it would sincerely be a dream come true.
