Winhanced’s new UI is now available to download for Patreon members!

So here is where things are at. This version of Winhanced includes:

- the new “living glass” UI

- full support for ANY device: this means handhelds, living room setup, laptops and desktops as well! 🤞

- full controller, keyboard/mouse, and touch screen navigation (yes including the long awaited analog stick)

- Winhanced Onboarding experience (for now only includes library setup)

- Access to both installed and owned games for our 3 main supported libraries, with the ability to install games

- the ability to add any game executable to an “Other” library

- in app settings menu (right now this only includes settings for library management)

- game launching splash screen

- app launching splash screen with more insight into what is going on

What this release does not include:

- Any and all things relating to our overlay or Windows OS management

- controller remapping

- TDP/ frame limiting management

- Task switching

- universal pause and better sleep/wake

These features will be slowly added back to this version over time, for now I wanted to focus on getting the universal library and UI right.

So when and how can you access this?

As much as I want to just release this to the world, we have learned a lot in the last few months when it comes to testing and build rollouts.

So firstly I will be releasing the test build specifically to Patreon subscribers and Discord supporter plus members first.

This is 1, a much smaller pool of people to test with, and 2 it brings a bit more value to the folks who have chosen to support us out of the kindness of their hearts.

After 2-3 weeks of testing with that group of people we will release to the broader public.

I think this will also be the roll out plan for updates to the new version of Winhanced moving forward as well.

It’s been a hectic month building this version out by myself, and there will be bugs, but at this point it’s stable enough to test with a broader user group, and I could really use the testers with different devices to really fine tune it before more broadly releasing.
