This week, I've been hard at work adding in a piece of content that I've been wanting to add for a while, a games parlor! Much like the Celadon Games Corner in gen 1 Pokemon, this place has a bunch of slot machine that you can play in order to win coins that you can use to buy powerful and exclusive prizes.
This games parlor will also feature a set of gachapon machines which you can play with the coins you win from the slots. I'm not positive on what the prizes for doing so will be yet, but I'd like to do a collectible set of 30 or so items, perhaps some pinup images? We'll see.
Additionally, I've finally added some more crafting stuff, this time in the form of special tonics you can take to temporarily boost certain stats. I figured that these tonics would add an interesting degree of strategy to encounters and will be retroactively implementing them to shops and chests around the game world. Some of the tonics are exceptionally powerful, but will be quite rare, so keep an eye out!
Lastly, I've been putting some thought into the way I want player progression to work. Right now, you just give money to Ilrit and they make you stronger, but I think in the future, level upgrades will be hidden around the game world, similar to the way pieces of heart work in Zelda.
