Poseidon really is an intriguing weapon. I get the concept, I admire the engineering required to go into it, but the thought of mixing autonomy and nuclear weaponry without a man constantly in the loop is insanity. My world has a parallel in the 9M730 Burevestnik, but with an even bigger catch. As far as I can tell the Russkies don't have a plan to retrieve the missile for service, simply let it crash and achieve the (hopefully intact) reactor.

Those nuke torps are ridiculous. Seems like the ruskies love to throw a nuclear reactor in anything that will sink.

Those nuclear armed autonomous torpedoes would make a heck of a first strike weapon--much worse than Pearl Harbor.
