Are they testing only the ejector system of the tube? The rockets seem to fly only to a short height and then fall; does this mean the rockets failed?

Video said it was a "piston" that helped launch it. perhaps it was the Piston priming itself. Love soviet launch videos. They make me nostalgic to play KSP.

Was R-29R liquid or solid fuel?

I think so, also the missile is positively buoyant.

yea, I saw that too. I'm not sure what causes that.

A split second before they launch the missile lifts up a couple of inches, any idea what's causing that? Maybe when they release some mechanical clamps or something?
