Numbers, Numbers, Numbers

I have never been quite satisfied with the combat system in the game (exhibited at the tower). I feel that it's much too rigid to work for many different kinds of enemy, so today, I built a new one. Here's the basics:

The stats that will come into play on determining the battle are both new and old. They are Strength, Toughness, Energy, and Pain. Strength is just what it sounds like, it's the raw muscular ability of your character. Toughness acts as a pain threshold, Energy is your stamina, and Pain is the amount of pain you are in. 

If your Pain score goes over your Toughness, you're done, and the battle ends. If you run out of energy, the enemy can just pin you and have their way with you. The same goes for the enemy.

There are two ways to finish a battle, by spanking the enemy into submission, or by being so good at wearing them out, that they collapse before you.

Nearly every battle is going to start with a wrestling match that looks at Strength to figure out who is over whose knee, and once that happens, your choices split depending on which one you are.

I have built this system agnostically, so I can essentially just write a separate script to slot on top of it to provide dialogue from your enemy. I feel that this will allow me to "gamify" spanking in a way that is both titillating and fun.

I hadn't thought of that but your daily work could also increase (or decrease) your abilities, although I would favor the odds to help rather than hinder the character (Players hate it when they lose stats). Different work could even favor certain abilities (you are more likely to gain Strength mining). But I think it would depend how much programming you want to put into the work details. Just tossing up ideas, if you don't like them, or they would take too much to implement ignore them.

You are absolutely correct. Getting pushed past your threshold will increase your Toughness every time it happens, and most of the punishments in the game seek to put your character right over their threshold, so it will happen quickly. Since these skills are a lot looser in definition than something like dominance or submission, I figured I could have them be improved by working as well. Maybe in rare chances, some horrendous injury could happen at your job and you have to just deal with the pain until they can get you a healing potion, thus boosting your toughness by a huge amount. Because hey, if you get your hand crushed or throw out your back, and then get healed, you can deal with a spanking much better.

So would there be ways of increasing your stats? I know as it stands you can get potions that increase your energy. Could receiving spankings built up your toughness, whereas giving them build up your Strength. Pain I would imagine would increase when receiving spankings, and reset overnight, so no going to fight demons if you did the wrong work that day :) .
