Our time in Sweden is wrapping up, and it's that magical time of year where we travel to the Annapolis Boat Show (where we got to meet soooo many of you, which was just incredible!). And then after nearly 3 months away, it's time to lay eyes on Delos 2.0 for the first time, and the transformation is just unbelievable! Our trip away was amazing, but the feeling we had when we got back was so overwhelming that we are exactly where we should be, doing exactly what we should be doing....it was super validating and had us feeling more stoked than ever to keep chugging away on this project. We hope you enjoy this week's episode, made with lots of love and gratitude to each and every one of you 🥰

Apparently, it was coolant water pumps that were not grounded on correctly… but such a scary issue! I have no doubt you’re on top of this issue 100%! Can’t wait to see how your one-of-a kind and so well thought out boat comes together!

We can run the majority of things until the hull insulation layers are installed, and we cant do that until the welding is complete. But I was able to run some bare conduits before the deck was placed which will make my life easier in the coming weeks.

2024-11-15 23:11:29 +0000 UTCWe have a similar arrangement on Delos for the seats to drain in the cockpit. I just blow them out with the hose every few months and it’s right as rain! But it’s not algea, it’s a combination of sand and hair usually….

Or, Algea does not catch on the Aluminium? 2.0 looks like a beautiful Manta 🥹still very curious on how she will sound🧐 Great story telling again today👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The pains you feel regarding land life are stark validations for continuing your life at sea and abroad and precisely why I have an intense love for your content, and immense respect for you all to share it with us. Thanks! Would it have been beneficial to install plumbing, power and drive components after the flip but b4 everything was plated over? Have you given consideration for semi-permanent camera mounts underwater? Can you imagine the random wildlife encounters and fish landing footage that shoots its self??? Get with it!

You aren't going to have to worry about warranty work, because you will be the one's that installed/designed/built it in the first place. I can't wait for the systems and design vids.

2024-11-15 15:12:54 +0000 UTCIt's the day after Thursday and we know what that means. It's the day before Saturday! It also happens to be SV Delos Friday and I've already hit PLAY! Man, there's so much in this episode. 8 - O Around the world in 80 days? Not quite but not far from it either. Sweden/Gotland looked nice and the re-fabed small house with a new red "coating" on it looked fine. Then off the the Annapolis Sailboat Show, where I and many others got to meet the Trautman family as well as many other SV Delos fans, friends and patron folks. We even had a Patron Party - which I only saw a few seconds of, at 5:33 - featuring musician Ryan Cook - but in those few seconds I can see the back of my head! LOL I also spotted a snap of Brian, Kazza and myself at 6:40 . That was intermingled with at least 100 other folks getting their photo's snapped with B and K. Then it's back to Australia and the Brisbane area. So much to do there as well! Buy a car, find a house to stay in, get Sierra back in school and VERY IMPORTANT get back to work on SV Delos 2.0. And so much was done while you guys were away! Holly Molly! I wonder what will be happening next week? And at the end, at 30:44 , a wonderful "That's what she said" joke! LOL
