Ryos family is rich, but she only gets an allovance which she wastes on instruments and music stuff. One can be two minds about parenting practices, but your typical anime rich girls are presented as brats so... Also I forgot to/didn't have time to write comments on the previous episode, so lets see: The new camera: image quality is great, but mirror/flip had me very confused for the first 10minutes. Not sure if it is intentional. On what names the characters use for each other: A lot of action anime tends to throw out the rules, or it's just not translated, but japan has quite strict social hierarchy based on seniority that determines what names(first or last) and honorifics(-san,-chan etc) are appropriate for addressing someone. In the show, Hitori and Kita are 1st year, but Nijika and Ryo are in 2nd year of high school, so as senpais they tend to get the polite -san or -senpai(but they are all quite young, so they've quickly allowed for first name basis)(Bocchis internal dialogue doesnt necesarily follow the rules because... it's internal(and she's somewhat of a rebel/outcast)). For their younger kouhai, it's appropriate to use nicknames or -chan. Now for Kitas "Gotoh-san", it is typical that you use family name+ san until you get to know each other better. Hope provides some clarification. For japanese this honorifics game is a normal part of character interaction that provides context... but in less realisitic-life anime where the focus can on fighting whatever dragons, that context can get pretty meaningless and gets left out.
