The future of my Anime React videos could be in danger on Youtube...
Added 2022-02-03 14:24:33 +0000 UTCI got a message from a viewer about anime companies taking down videos that contain anime footage by circumnavigating Youtube's copyright takedown system and instead suing the creator directly, causing the Youtube channel to be shut down indefinitely without warning. To be safe, I have currently privated almost all my anime react videos on Youtube (will leave my Fate/Zero videos public for now, but will probably private them soon.) I'll have to figure where out I'm going to go from here-will probably sit down and record a video tomorrow discussing this.
For Patreon, things will remain the same for now. You will still get the full videos as it seems the issue is mainly on Youtube but of course, things could change in the future if these companies go after Vimeo as well. I will of course keep you all updated on the situation.
