Oh also the reason Madoka became a witch after destroying Walpurgisnacht in one of those last timelines was because the arrow she fired to take it out was like a nuke that destroyed the entire city and she fell into despair after seeing what she had done.

The OP lyrics gets recontextualized after this episode which is why they put it right at the very end. I strongly recommend you to check out the lyrics again now that you have the context of this episode. Consider who is the sender and who is the recipient. And heck yea it is a great episode. The reason I suggested this anime is because you liked Higurashi and Steins;Gate, so there was no way you wouldn't like Madoka. Also, you can't go wrong with something that was written by Gen Urobuchi.
