You pointed out something interesting during the Watanagashi announcement: all of the confrontation with the old folks of the village, the child consultation center, lifting the hostility of the village towards the Houjou happened in Minagoroshi...so, not this loop, but the previous one. Which means the whole village fighting together for Satoko did not happen in this world. That aside, don't worry, we will get some art for the ending music eventually. ^^

That way she wouldn‘t have developed any hard feelings towards Rika and while it probably would have been hard on her at first, she would have come to terms with it. Or maybe she DID fail, but the school has another kind of punishment in store for the applicants who fail... I love Satoko.

After such a long time of not knowing what happened, its super satisfying to finally go back to the timeline we all know. I also love all of the older character designs in this arc; I think they really nailed them. Also the "they were in middle school the whole time" thing was super surprising. I had always thought the characters were about as old as you did. Really makes all the Angel Mort scenes incredibly disturbing in retrospect. I'd much rather think of them all as being older. Anyway, I loved hearing your theories! This arc is definitely more of a slow burn than Nekodamashi but I like that we get so much time to see the characters change and interact. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes!! Also, the ending won't get visuals for another few episodes but they're stellar when we finally get them.
