Poll: Animations
Added 2022-12-12 02:38:54 +0000 UTCSo, this chapter is nearly twice as long as I intended it to be. I'm making daily progress (another progress report coming this week), but one thing on my mind right now is animations. My goal was to complete the chapter's static renders, and then pick a few spots in the chapter to attempt to animate, similarly to the animation in the first release.
But I don't want to drag this update out too long. I still have about 100 renders to complete (the actual final count will be sitting at around 600, which is pretty nuts), and this last stretch of renders is by far the most complicated I've done so far.
So, how important are animations to you? Do they make a slightly longer wait worth it? For context, a 2-second animation like the one in the prologue can take ~3-4 days, between set-up, rendering, post-processing, and programming.
