The Sega Teradrive was a IBM PC and Mega Drive home computer combine together. It was only released in Japan in 1991 and three different models were made. It was a low cost PC option at that time and the only medium powerful but it could play All NTSC-J Mega Drive softs and there was even some ways the Mega Drive and PC can connect together.
In the future Mega CD was released and Sega think about make a number four Teradrive model to include it. But in the end they did not because the sales are not great.
Here is try to show as many models as I can with the boxes. Now you know all about it! 🤗
