v0.04 Progress Update (October) — 3 weeks and 30 patrons!

So before I get into my progress towards v0.04, I just want to give a big THANK YOU to all of you for your support! I'm not sure what I was expecting when I published the first release just three weeks ago, but I am so grateful and pleased by the response!

So, as promised earlier in the week, here's what I have planned and in process for v0.04 and my general thoughts about my progress towards it.

v0.04 New content (subject to change):

350-400 new renders (v0.02 was just shy of 300)

Roughly 25% more dialogue than in v0.02

Multiple new characters

Multiple new sex scenes

4 new puzzles

Puzzles now show a preview of the unlockable scene as highlighted cells

Two new 3D images

New music and sounds

New animations

General improvements to previous content:

Adding some clarification to the puzzle tutorial regarding the 2x2 rule also applying to non-highlighted cells

Slightly brightening the final scene of v0.02 (had some complaints that it was too dark) 

Subtle hair color change to a mysterious character at the end of v0.02

Correcting a small number of lingering typos in v0.02

Quality pass on the Android version

Stretch goals, if time allows:

A new mode: Easy Mode. Intended for people who want to play the puzzles but found the Normal Mode puzzles too difficult. My plan here is that Easy Mode would offer additional clues on the puzzle board, and can be toggled during the game at any time (though it would reset the puzzle). Normal Mode and Story Mode stay the same.

The ability to start a new game starting with the "Newest Content", with a recap of the story so far.

Now for some thoughts on my progress. Progress is going well. I spent a few days supporting the initial release and planning the next phase, so I only started rendering the next release about two weeks ago. Most of the general improvements to previous content are already complete, and all the new puzzles are already created (I just need to generate the graphics for them), so at this point it's solely the task of writing, rendering, and programming the new story content. The pace is quite solid for that time-frame, as you can see from my little chart!
