Gaming Historica/Culture | All About: Konami's Hyper Blaster
Added 2024-07-29 04:00:01 +0000 UTCKonami release the Hyper Blaster in Japan for Sony's PlayStation in 1995 for the release of the game Horned Owl which we look at before early in this month!
It was important because it was the first light gun released for the PlayStation and some years before Namco releases their famous Guncon. In the future not all light gun games can be use with the Hyper Blaster because Namco want only their gun to work. There was a special adaptor that was made to let the gun work however..
There are some interesting things about the Hyper Blaster:
The Hyper Blaster was the first light gun for PlayStation
The Hyper Blaster was released in western countries and was green and the name was change to Justifier. This was same name as Konami's older light gun made for the game series Lethal Enforcers ( that one look like cowboy style gun)
The Hyper Blaster many people notice look very similar to Gillian Seed's Junker Blaster gun in the game Snatcher. We also look at this gun earlier this month!
The Hyper Blaster gun was special bonus that could be unlock in the PlayStation game Silent Hill if you got the special UFO ending!
