Gaming Historica/Retro Art Gallery | SEGA Hard Girls Series セガ・ハード・ガールズ | Sega Mega-CD [Part Eleven]

This month's series continues!

Number Eleven: Sega Mega-CD (December 1991) | Shiori Mikami

Is she the best Hard Girl? She has 16-Bit armor and a cool sword. Shiori Mikami is the Mega-CD baby who represent Sega's first generation expansion console for their Mega Drive.. It used CD and had a Karaoke add on. It was design to competition with NEC's PC-Engine CD-ROM which was very popular in Japan. Unfortunately this was not a big success for Sega because the power was a little under and it was very expensive!

Information: This month is all about the Sega Hard Girls! Characters who representing Sega's home hardware history since the beginning. Each girl is a human representation of a certain piece of Sega's history and even includes some accessories like the Dreamcast VMU.

The Sega Hard Girls started in Dengeki Bunko Magazine as a collaboration with Sega. And they were very popular. Now they even have animated shows and figures about them that you can buy!

We will look at each one in the chronologicals order from the beginning to the end. These info cards were originally low quality and I have upscaled them to be more clear!
