Furry Studies + The Holiday Grind

Hello, and happy autumn!!

Pleased to announce that I'll be attending and speaking at Furry Studies, an all-day furry academic conference in nearby Tacoma this Friday the 31st. I'll have the honor of speaking alongside fandom greats like Rod O'Riley, Brett Hanover, Tommy Bruce, and plenty more, and speak on an artist panel with outsidewolves, Zephyr Kim, and Julia. Should be an interesting, intellectually stimulating day spent reflecting on the fandom and its place in the world... and now I just need to figure out how to discuss furry porn with an academic tone! That being said, if I am going to end up sitting at the front of a university lecture hall, I'd like to at least sound like I know what I'm talking about! I'm going to be taking this week off from standard comics work to prepare, reflect, write, etc, as well as knock out a couple other non-work related projects that have been on my plate a little too long. Comic updates will be resuming the week after, and posted on 11/7 assuming I stick to my schedule. :)

I'll be the first to admit there's been one too many holes in my schedule as of late, but with the weather cooling and all the fun that summer brings tapering off, my days suddenly feel fuller, and the work hours more plentiful. Starting next week, I'll be working on 2 comic pages per week, something I know well I am capable of without burnout, but have been unable to pull off over the last few months due to juggling so many other projects. I like the Patreon currently being a dozen-or-so pages ahead of the public postings, but would love if that could be stretched to 15 or 20 by the end of the comic!

As for further into the future, we'll encounter our usual holiday interruptions (I'll be visiting family from the 21st to the 27th, taking one week off), but should be smooth sailing otherwise. I've technically got a dealers table at Further Confusion 2026 squared away, but I'm still on the fence about going since I have very little in the way of new products to offer. Taking January to keep my nose to the grindstone is sounding more and more enticing over attending a con that's admittedly gotten to feel a little repetitive over the years. Y'all will be the first to know when I eventually decide on what I'd like to do.

Until then, I hope y'all continue to enjoy the extensive sex scene we're currently in the midst of, and enjoy all the indoorsy comforts that the cold weather brings... or get out in the sun for all my southern-hemispherians. :)
