I think the second page really emphasizes how much this bothers him, how content he was just secretly hating and complaining about Junip. I think the combination of snapping at Junip -- which means he feels bad about that -- and Clay's words have just hit the most fertile soil they could have

The first (and hardest) step to self-improvement is always actually internalizing that you need to change, mostly because it's easy to default to "well the way I've gone about it has been fine before" and really hurt to admit that maybe it hasn't even just some of the time. Glad it's hitting him hard enough that he's going through that process though, love the way you're actually being really real about how this kinda thing goes!! And of course, the horny half is immaculate as always <3
