I like your idea for changing the poll format. Personally speaking the two winners in this poll were pretty much my bottom 2 choices, both because I'm less interested in generic/original characters, and because I'm less interested in fully explicit designs... Of course they won fairly so I'm not complaining, and clearly many people prefer designs like this. But I think splitting up polls to make sure every month features at least one popular character and one "other" character would be a good way to make more people happy. Granted there's a good chance my choice would be the least popular of the "popular" category, but oh well 😂

@Auni Smith It would be interesting but from what I remember now the Patreon polls don't have that option. But that would be nice if the number of votes only appears at the end of the poll, to make things transparent.

Also, I just started messing around with Meshmixer recently. They've got some basic, kind of "erase" brushes. If Digital Dark isn't looking to make a girl, TS, and futa version, you can pretty easily get rid of the girl parts on the futa before you print. Basically, you've got some options to end up happy with your print even if the file isn't exactly what you want. One way or anther, I hope it works out for you!

I'm in the same boat, and it sounds like we voted on the same models. The 2 winners are models I would have expected to come in last. But I think this is a good thing for my store. If I chose the 2 I wanted, but everyone else loves this deer lady, then I'd be losing out on sales. I really appreciate having polls and showing how unaligned my tastes are with what might sell.

How about this? Round 1: 8 concepts where 4 are from the last month. Everyone votes their favourites. Round 2: Separate polls for the top 4 and bottom 4. 1 vote per poll. Aftermath: Winners of top and bottom are the models of the month. Rest of the top and one of the bottom continue to the next months concepts. Hide the results before voting and give everyone only one chance of voting if Patreon allows this. The less popular concepts get a fighting chance but the most popular concepts continue their lives in the next month. The last months poll was pretty even so I think all of the concepts were quality and should get a second chance at some point. Freestyle and tweak the numbers as you see fit. Maybe dont keep it at static 8/4/4 but adjust the pools based on the round 1 votes. Like if there is a clear 2 or 3 top ones, make a 2/3 top pool for round 2.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it :) Believe me, I really don't like to discard concepts. When I create polls I select the ones I find most interesting and imagine how cool it would be to work with each one, and it disappoints me to see that many wanted them but for a small amount of votes they were disqualified. And I'll probably go months without bringing them up again, because I don't want to look like I'm trying to manipulate the results or that I'm too lazy to look for new concepts. It is complicated. But one day we'll find the right way to do it :D

I'm sure Patreon doesn't support this kind of thing, but I'd like something like ranked-choice voting. I have to admit, I'm a little miffed that my first-choice in the poll lost by 6 votes, and my backup was dead last. They lost fair and square, I'm just sad about it. I loved ALL the options, but now that the votes are in, we're getting both of the ones that I was kinda "meh" on. At least, relatively speaking; I'm sure both of these are gonna be awesome and I'm even more excited for the RE:Village quartet. Everything you do in your style kicks ass. Maybe my issue is less the nature of the vote, or even the outcome, but the fact that we're "eliminating" really good ideas? I can't imagine you treat these concepts like "well, never EVER going to do those characters now, they had their shot in the poll so now they're dead to me", but I can't know either way if/when unused concepts might ever get made. As I said before, I think they're all great ideas worth subbing X months for. I'm sure whatever you do with the voting (including potentially leaving it as-is) will be fine. I'm still super happy with how stuff's going.

The two rounds would be with four artworks each (one will be chosen among four original / not so popular characters and another among four popular characters). It's a good number to manage and avoids discarding as many cool concepts as in the current format that has 9.

Two rounds sounds good to be fair, gives a chance for unknown and popular choices to both have a fair standing, however if it doesn't land right or the lists are just to spread out can always roll it back to how it is now Only thing with the two rounds to make it easier are you gonna bring the number of choices down slightly? as currently, you have around 8-10 and top two wins, whereas splitting that you could end up with ties and close choices and needing 20 choices? thinking easiest and least stress for you, just hope it works out but hell I'm here for the art and figures :)

Ultimately, it's your call. Personally I feel the polls work themselves out. For the past 2 months, we've gotten popular "trendy" figures, based on the polls. This month we got two "unknown" figures. I tend to vote for unknown figures, but that's my taste. I'd assume most folks vote for the trendy stuff. It seems to work out naturally, two to one. two trendy models for every one obscure model. If you want to do one obscure model, for every popular model, that will benefit me typically. It would make me happy. Basically, I'm easy to please and I like your style.
