MONTHLY Q&A - November 2025

The start of the month means that it's time for another Monthly Q&A!

As usual, if you have any questions for me then please comment them below this post and I'll be sure to answer them over the coming days!

(Just a reminder that this is limited to one question per person per month. If you comment with multiple unrelated questions, then I will only answer your first question.)

I think that how the DLC will be viewed by the majority really depends on two things - how much it costs, and what it actually adds. I think the strategy of giving people plenty of content for free (cars and tracks), but then charging them for a set of single-player events is quite unusual, but not necesarily a bad thing. From my point of view, if this is the compromise for having proper single-player races and endurances return, then I can stomach that - but I also undertstand why others have mixed feelings about it. To be honest, at this stage we don't know what new things the DLC will add to the racing experience, aside from Sophy 3.0 as well as practice and qualifying sessions. "In pursuit of a true racing experience" is a pretty big statement, especially when you consider how far GT7's single-player is from that right now. The question is, how far will they go with it? Will we see a new damage model that simulates mechanical wear in longer races? Or what about true multiclass racing that I've wanted in these games for so long? If you ask me, this is the sort of stuff I would hope for given that tagline, as well as the additional cost. But with all of that said, I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much. GT7 is a game that promised so much, but has disappointed me at almost every turn, so that would be nothing new. Regardless, I have to admit that I've never been more anticipated for a piece of post-launch content in GT7, than I am for this DLC - although that isn't exactly a high bar...

How do you now feel about the paid DLC for GT7 coming out adding full race weekends to championships? Personally, I think this will either be the best feature of the game or it will flop horribly because of GT7s idiotic design choices.

To be frank, I just view Spec III as a way for PD to extend GT7's life span further - and that's pretty much it. None of what's been shown so far feels like it was worth waiting this long for - especially the QoL features like the increased level cap and permanent brand invites. Like I mentioned in a previous comment, GT7 is almost 4 years old. If they knew these were problems, why didn't they address them back when most people still cared about the game? As we know, the live service model is based around trying to drag the experience of playing the game out for as long as physically possible, so I don't think any of this is too surprising. All it means is that we'll just have to wait longer for the next game in the series. Alternatively, I am quite intrigued by the Power Pack DLC - I genuinely did not see that coming. In some ways it almost seems like a direct response to some of my videos where I criticised the single-player racing in the base game. The tag-line of 'real racing' is a pretty bold claim, but let's see what they can deliver. Just a heads up, I probably won't make a video covering the update simply because I don't really think I can be bothered, and I'm currently working on a pretty big project that I want to get out by the end of the year. Either way, I will still try it out and share my thoughts - most likely through a YT community post or something like that.

I assume you have heard the news about Spec III for GT7. Now knowing you are probably the most outspoken critic of GT7 (Not a bad thing at all), what are your opinions on it?
