I let you a little guide of how to open a .rar file.
You need to have installed a program to allows you to extract files, I use the WinRar (it's free) and you can download it from here: https://www.winrar.es/descargas
Inside that webpage you will see a picture like this:
I recommend you to download and install the 'Descarga recomendada' or if you see the page in English 'Recommended Download'.
Once you had installed your program, you will do the following steps:
1 - Get a .rar file.
2 - Find the file, give it a right click and you will see something like this:
3 - You need to choose the 'Extraer aquí' (Extract here) option that must be displayed if you install the WinRar.
