2024-02-17 08:13:08 +0000 UTCThis was one of those movies where it was soooo popular at the time, but it looked too cheesy for me and I didn't want to watch it. Even the poster turned me off lol. Years later I did and it's a really good movie! I was so wrong. I didn't expect the movie to be so funny. Whoopi Goldberg won an Oscar for her performance. The could've been all sad and sappy, but she gives the story so much energy and fun. 20 years after this movie came out, Japan made a remake only they switched the roles and the wife ends up dying.
