They build everything in real life small models (the characters, the sets) and then they film each little movement 1 frame at a time. There are 24 frames in 1 second of film. That means it took 109,440 shots to make The Nightmare before Christmas. The process unbelievably slow and exacting, but we get such beautiful animation. 2023-12-17 00:38:28 +0000 UTCThis is such a good movie for Halloween or Christmas time. I watched it when I was little and now my nephews and nieces love it. The musical artist is Danny Elfman, who worked with Tim Burton on movies like the original Batman and Beetlejuice.
