The Falcon and Winter Soldier 1x6 ''One World, One People'' Full Reaction

Karli: Worst case scenario, we kill the hostages.
Gigi: We're supposed to use them to negotiate.
Karli: To stop that vote. Either way, our message gets out to the world.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier 1x6 ''One World, One People'' Full Reaction

Ah no worries, honestly I have barely read the comics. Primarily read marvel encyclopedias-books and wiki fandom articles and some here and there on the internet. I do like that MCU is interpreting the stories as the comics do have altered versions and with the multiverse coming that’s okay.

Kayla

i see... i don't really read the comics. so i can't judge. but i wish they will stick close to it. the Serum always intrigued me. where all started, from who and what? there have been some explanations.. but somehow, MCU has a tricky way of changing, or adding new ways of interpreting the story

Red Skull, Karli, and John truly showed why the super soldier serum needs to not be recreated. Steve was a one in a million chances of not having something go wrong with the serum. Val doesn’t appear in Loki, but her influence does happen in Hawkeye-granted later episodes, but well you’ll see. As for Sharon-i get she’s upset with the government however i think her seeking revenge is a tad childish. Understandable but wished she was more like her comic book self.

Kayla

ohhh yes yes.. you are right. man this Zemo is quite tricky... reminds me of Loki in many ways

Zemo killed the last flag smashers. The old man was his butler who carried it out You remember him when they were boarding the plane right? And he served them drinks in the plane as well.

You are most welcome, my dear friends!! I am so, so happy that you both feel as I do, and that you really loved watching this show for us, as I enjoyed watching it again through your eyes too. So, thank you both very, very much, Marian and Joy! You're wonderful! :) Sincerely, Heidi

i totally agree regarding racism... i had some issues about this in UK.. for me racism comes down to the old times.. but i won't deny the hate that still exists today.. but i won't feed it either, i would love a world where everyone could mind their own business.. that's all regarding this show, it was amazing.. really love the relationship between Sam and Bucky like you said. and feel bad for that Kharli's death.. she was a lost soul.. who couldn't see Sam nor Bucky for what they truly stand for! wish she did.. but is late now.. can't wait to see where our journey will take us from now on, and i can't wait for the Captain America: New World Order and The Thunderbolts either!! Thank you Heidi for being here with us through this amazing Journey called Marvel Universe!

One World, One People- Thank you both once more for this amazing reaction to this fantastic finale of The Falcon and the Winter Solider, Marian and Joy!! Or rather... Captain America and the Winter Soldier. :) First of all... I am so happy to hear that you and I feel the same way about all the talk about racism throughout this show. It's just like I've said in my other comments. It doesn't matter what color Sam's, or Captain America's skin is. Steve chose Sam to take up the reign of the new Captain America, solely because Sam is truly a good and honorable man and because he has the strength to be a hero much like Steve was as he wields the shield. It's sad that this show's creators felt the need to even make racism such a big deal throughout this show, because it certainly wasn't needed. It's just another forced agenda that Marvel and Disney wanted to force upon us. We don't need the reminder that racism exists. We know, because it's everywhere. In regards to Sam telling the world and the Council in the ending that he understands that there will be people who hate him for taking up the shield and becoming Captain America because of the color of his skin, just like Isaiah Bradley does... Sadly, it is true that people would hate him for doing so, because as a man of color, other people of color feel that Sam is betraying them by falling for Steve Rogers' ideals... the ideals of a White man with blond hair and blue eyes. These people will see Sam as a traitor to their own kind, even though we are all equal no matter the color of our skin. Sadly, many Black people today do feel this way. They either believe that they are more superior to everyone who is White because they feel that it's their time to be the superior ones, or they feel that everyone who is White hate them still and so they hate them all right back. Me personally... I don't believe this way because I do believe that all men are created equal regardless of the color of their skin. And I love everyone no matter what skin color they are. But tragically... I am still hated by so many Black people today simply because I am a White woman whom they don't believe is capable of caring about anyone who is Black. Which is not at all true. Just like all White people who claim to love everyone are hated. And it breaks my heart. With all of that out of the way... Kharli's death is a tragedy, but it's of her own making. She chose to hate everyone she saw as her enemy because of everything that's come about in the world ever since the blip, and she refused to listen to Sam, who tried to teach her to let go of her hate and anger so that he could help her. I understand Kharli's desire to help all the people she's fighting for, but she became the problem that needed to be stopped by our heroes when she began to fight in all the wrong ways. Especially when she began killing people in order to try to force everyone to do what she wanted them to do for her. Zemo was absolutely right about her. In answer to your question as to who killed the remaining super soldiers... It was Zemo who had them killed. This is why he's shown in the very ending as he smiles upon hearing over the news that they had been killed in a bombing. Zemo had his butler, whom we meet back in the third episode, titled... The Power Broker, plant the bomb under the van and set off the charges to blow the van up with them inside. Zemo's butler is the old man who tended to Zemo on their plane in the third episode. And in regards to Val, and who she is... If you don't remember, Val was first introduced back in the end credits scene in Black Widow, when she appeared standing next to Natasha's sister, Yelena, while she was visiting Natasha's grave. This end credits scene revealed to us that sometime after the events shown in Black Widow, Yelena has also been recruited to work for Val, just like John Walker is now working for her too. And sadly, Val then assigns Yelena on a mission to kill Clint Barton, having lied to Yelena about him being the person responsible for Natasha's death. Not good! So, yes... We have seen Val before her few scenes here in The Falcon and the Winter Solider. And Val is a character who has now been set up to become an even bigger character, and possible upcoming villain, in future movies and shows to come. Which I am really excited for! :) And as for the big reveal that Sharon has been the Power Broker this whole time... All of the hints were there, so this reveal to me wasn't a big shock. And while it's tragic that Peggy Carter's own niece has now become a traitor to her country, and has become a rising villain as well, I'm not too upset about it. Sharon has always been just an okay character for me. I never liked the idea of her and Steve getting together when a relationship between them was briefly hinted at back in Captain America: Civil War. I am grateful that nothing ever did come between them. Especially now that we see that she's chosen to become a traitor because she had been wronged by the US government. Bucky was deeply wronged by them and so many other people such as Hydra, too. And yet he's still the good man that he always was back before Hydra turned him into the Winter Soldier through so much pain. The good man that he always has been. And now... the world is finally starting to see him as a hero again, thanks to all his efforts to save everyone from the Flag Smashers while he continues to fight at Sam's side. So, I am not disappointed seeing Sharon now a villain. I am excited to see what's to come of her! And I hope that Sam and Bucky will eventually come to discover the truth about her becoming a traitor, then take her down. :) Overall... I love this show very much! I love seeing Sam as the new Captain America, and I love his new vibranuim wings and suit made for him in Wakanda at Bucky's request. I love Bucky's and Sam's friendship and partnership, and I absolutely hope to see much more with them working together in future shows and movies! And they are both definitely coming back in future movies that are scheduled to be released in 2024. Captain America: New World Order and The Thunderbolts! Both of which I am so excited for!! :) Thank you very much once again, my dear friends! I am very excited for all of your reactions for Hawkeye after Loki now too! :) Sincerely, Heidi
