The actor who played Mike wasn't really working at that time. He never was a star or anything but his career was pretty much dead. Then he got Breaking Bad and he said that it was the greatest role of his life. He feels so blessed. Mike is a big part of Better Call Saul.

For Marian & Joy, and those who have not seen the television show Better Call Saul, it's worth mentioning generally what you are in for if you choose to watch this show — (without giving away story revealing spoilers :-)) Better Call Saul jumps around between glimpses of Saul Goodman’s life after Breaking Bad and El Camino, and the show's main story. This main story, which is the majority of the show, starts 6 years before Breaking Bad, shows how Jimmy McGill is as a lawyer, how that lawyer eventually becomes Saul Goodman, and the backstories of how all the baddies we know from Albuquerque and the Mexican cartel came to be who they are in Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul is 60% about characters that we don’t know from Breaking Bad, 40% about characters we know from Breaking Bad, and really doesn’t show the Saul Goodman we first met in Breaking Bad until about episode 60 in Season 6 of the show. Many people, including me, found this show to go at a *much* slower pace with quite a bit less action than Breaking Bad. There definitely is some action, and when it’s at its most intense the action can be as intense as Breaking Bad’s action; sometimes just a little bit more intense. In general, though. Better Call Saul is less action oriented than Breaking Bad. The show spends a lot of time focused on lawyer work, activities showing how criminals emerge in the extralegal arenas of BB, the history of some of your favorite BB characters, and builds up through 6 seasons to a series finale with more story closure beyond BB’s and El Camino's endings. All this to say that BCS is slower and less action oriented than BB, BCS takes a *long* time to catch up to BB’s first appearance of Saul, and by BCS’s end after 63 episodes you get to a finale that ends the whole story of BB, El Camino and BCS more fully than BB's last episode and El Camino's ending. Some people ask the question “Which is better, Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad?”, and may compare the two in their writing, acting, story, etc… I don’t see any substantive or notable differences in the acting and the writing between BB and BCS. The staging between the two shows is different -- the staging is how the show is presented. Because the staging is different, certain acting and writing *appears* more notable because staging is meant to highlight certain specific elements at specific times to get a story's "reason for being" deeply in the minds of the audience. In Breaking Bad there are the staged classic quotes "I am the danger", "I am the one who knocks", "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it, and I was... alive!" In Better Call Saul there are quotes like "chimp with a machine gun", "... you'll always be Slippin' Jimmy!", and "The name's McGill. I'm James McGill." These quotes, acting, and story presentation are highly staged, and not really comparable outside the context in which they are staged. A story's staging doesn't make any story better, worse, or directly comparable to others, it only makes the story different, and its own entity. I'm personally not a big fan of comparing stories to their prequels or sequels for this reason -- staging is an artistic illusion technique to get specific story ideas for the story into the audience's understanding, and every story has its own merits and its own narrative accomplishments within its own rights. But, in the end, what is appreciated in acting, writing, and even just general storytelling is a matter of opinion, so take my statements as those of “yet another opinion maker”. If you ever decide to watch Dirty Harry you’ll hear one of his most famous quotes in popular USA media on this subject. Dirty Harry says at one point, "Well, Opinions Are Like A**holes. Everybody Has One." :-) And, in my opinion, though you should not expect from Better Call Saul what you experienced in Breaking Bad, you will find non-comparable parts in each that make their characters and stories rich in appeal. if you like Breaking Bad, once you get to the end of Better Call Saul you will be rewarded for watching both. The ending of Better Call Saul is for both shows a well crafted example of what I call "Feeding two birds with one scone." :-)

Also. What happened to Bogdon?? Did he return to Romania? Did he trim his eyebrows?

I thought it was very good. I'm glad they went in the direction they did. A lot of series that have a movie add-on usually fuck it up either by going off the rails with it to the point it breaks character development or by relying too much on nostalgia. My only slight complaint is the aging of Aaron Paul (Jesse) and weight gain from Jesse Plemons who plays "Todd". It was a bit distracting but I get they had to go along with it since some years have gone by. You can feel the 6 year gap even though the story begins seconds after BB ended. As for Better Call Saul, if you're a fan of the "Breaking Bad" universe, then "Better Call Saul is a MUST!! A lot of ppl even think the performances and writing are SUPERIOR to Breaking Bad, which I agree with.

Glad you enjoyed it. It was nice to see a lot of the older characters, even though it seemed more like cameos, especially Walt. It was definitely meant to focus around the route that Jesse took after the finale, which also by the way, El Camino is Spanish, in English, it means "The Way" or (The Road) which is what the movie is about, the way/road that Jesse takes after being released from his prison.

Thank you Joy and Marian! It really is the end now. 🧪😭 I'm just gonna say it. I think you should watch whatever TV show you want to watch because it's a big commitment to watch so many episodes. Movies are over in a couple hours, but you need to be excited and invested in watching a TV show for multiple seasons. I personally hope Better Call Saul happens sooner than later. You love this world Vince Gilligan has created and I love watching you discover it. LWYRUP! The song is "Sharing the Night Together" by Dr. Hook. Joy, your facial expression while Todd was singing was awesome.
