Breaking Bad 5x16 ''Felina'' Full Reaction

Skyler White: If I have to hear one more time that you did this for the family...

Walter White: I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And... I was really... I was alive.

true!! now i can easily see some shorts about Breaking Bad on youtube.. Mike had an emotional interview with the team.. here https://youtube.com/shorts/XyMM7VqarfI?feature=share

I love this show so much. From the cinematography, writing, directing, acting... man, what a great god damn show. Jesse and Walter's relationship is what always kept me coming back. And to think this happened because of a writer's strike. When all those writers decided to sideline themselves, they snuck this in and look what it became. I couldn't think of two more finer people to watch this with.

what the heck is wrong with this freaking Patreon! i gave a lot of effort to reply, and now is gone? this is not FAIR! ughhh... but coming back to our business.. yesss. El Camino is next and then Better Call Saul. but man this show was on fire!

oh yes ur right! interesting facts lol! we will never forget this guy no matter what!

oh man, first thank you for being here.. you like many others who supported us and keep doing so, made us committed and got attached to every single on of you! now back to Breaking Bad... oh man where should i start? i mean you could check Sam's Reply and my thoughts on Walter White but overall Breaking Bad was an unique Show! that will always remain deep deep in my heart i dont think i can watch it again, i dont know if i can bare the tension again.. the scale of things Walter did in my mind he still does his thing.. cooking meth having a different persona when he is around family breaking lose as Heisenberg against the most powerful people... and showing his sacrifice towards Jesse.. for that's the biggest mistery, how close he became to Jesse.. maybe he was thankful bcuz of Jesse maybe he saw him as his true friend and partner i was Shocked to finally see him calling a hit on Jesse but even in the end.. we saw Walter doing all that he could to save Jesse.. giving Marie through Skyler closure to mourn her husband.. putting some money for them without even taking credit to know is from him right there we see Walter giving up on his ego.. giving up on control.. only then he found peace, through the last moments of his life he died smiling, next to a barrel of chemistry..

I cannot believe that we reached the end, time has passed very quickly, I initially found the channel in Youtube through the Matrix reactions, and then so many great movies to rewatch alongside you guys. But I was in heaven when I discovered Breaking Bad was on the menu here. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Back then, some people did not like that Walter got away with what he wanted, so they said. Other people were happy that Walter's power fantasy was finally paid in his own blood for once. Walter ended up paying a higher price, being hated by those he loved. Other people took the wrong message that his revenge must be meted out for him to win, and that even if he didn't survive at least his family was taken care of financially like he originally wanted. But there was no winning for Walt, what mattered more to him was forever lost. He destroyed and separated his family, and any justice now is balancing the scales and everyone has to pay up for their sins. Walter's ascension to power and his fall took out Gus's organizations, the Salamancas, the Cartels, and these neo-nazis criminals. They all would have continued to cause great misery upon the world by their existence, and Walter killing them incidentally as he went on his way is the only good he ever achieved in his criminality and descent into his dark psyche. Yet Walter also destroyed too many families and tainted a lot of goodness from society because of his ego and pride. He truly is one of the most fascinating characters of television. At least he got some satisfaction that Jesse followed the chemistry at the end, and always followed proper safety procedures...๐Ÿ˜‚ El Camino is the name of the vehicle that Jesse took to make his getaway at the end, driving away almost mad with relief, pain, guilt. El Camino also is Spanish for "The Path." The name is almost esoteric and spiritual for what it implies. Better Call Saul is not the same as Breaking Bad, and you will hear some say it is a better show, but in my opinion they are different enough that such a comparison cannot be made concretely. The fact that I cannot choose a favorite even knowing the differences speaks of the quality of both shows. Better Call Saul is not the neo-western modern thriller that this show turned into. Better Call Saul starts a bit like Breaking Bad, leaning a bit into dark comedy at first, slow-burn, then transforming into what it truly is. It is one the best television shows you will see. The writing and the cinematography and the plotting evolve and refine and build upon what we have seen here, it is more intricate. Some of the best characters and actors you will see. And it all serves to make Breaking Bad even better than it is as it ends here. I CANNOT wait to see Joy and Marian's reaction to the show when they decide to start, and when that ride finally ends, it truly is over. But you never know.

I don't believe Jane's dad ever went to jail, it was an accident and any criminal charges would have taken time to prove gross criminal negligence by any party involved, his state of mind at the time would come into play, but for sure lawsuits would be coming for the agencies responsible. It is not too long after the crash in the episode "Green Light" that they mention in the radio that the dad shot himself, so he had access to a weapon and thus not in jail at the time.

Oh nothing to be sorry for! If you find time, watch the last scene with the song โ€žbaby blueโ€œ ๐Ÿ’™. I am sure you will find that scene on youtube also. And if you guys like, there are Breaking Bad minisodes on youtube. They gave us thise inbetween the seasons :)

i agree! i mean when you look at other shows, and if there is by any chance a way to see something coming... there you go.. that's how you know the series aren't too legit!

we couldn't believe it! sorry for that

sounds good. we gotta do it!

I think the reason why we hear Jesse refer to Walter as "Mr. White" is to show the position of power Walter always held over Jesse.. I mean, Jesse is supposed to be like what a young 20 something not far removed from high school.. sorry, hope it's ok to answer.. wasn't sure if these questions are meant for just Marian & Joy..

I loved the finale when I first saw it and I still do. But I still have some thoughts/questions... - It's interesting that we never met Walt's mother. She is last referred to in Season 4, when Walter talks about his father. - Jesse never calls him Walter. He always calls him "Mr. White". Until the very end. - Skyler was a hostess at a diner near the lab where Walter worked. She is 12 years younger than him. - Did Jane's father go to jail? - Did all the Los Pollos Hermanos close because they were used for money laundering? That would be really sad. People still want that chicken. Give them the chicken! - Vince Gilligan on why Walt left Gretchen and Grey Matter. It happened when Walt met Gretchen's family. "I think it was kind of situation where he didn't realize the girl he was about to marry was so very wealthy and came from such a prominent family, and it kind of blew his mind and made him feel inferior and he overreacted." Afterwards, Walt sold his share of Gray Matter to Elliot for $5,000 and left the company. - Iโ€™m really curious what kind of life Holly will have. They may get all that money in 10 months, but what will it be like to grow up as the daughter of Heisenberg? I think Skyler should move the family away from New Mexico. - We never saw Saulโ€™s home or if he had a wife or anything about his personal life.

I second this recommendation.

So many movies and shows rely on people doing stupid things to move the story along. One of the great pleasures of Breaking Bad is so many smart characters playing against each other. Better Call Saul is the same way.

Els

I saw Breaking Bad so many times and I still cry... Best show there is. I just wished you would enjoy the poetic end with that fitting song and not talk over it :D

SylMyl

Better call saul is half about jimmy aka saul and half backstory on the cartel and mike.

It's been so interesting watching you guys react to Breaking Bad and reliving the series with you. Definitely watch El Camino next as it provides additional closure, and like a few others said, maybe take a small break before starting Better Call Saul as that is also another amazing journey into a great character.

Dajefe70

I can't say enough how much I love you guys. I'm sad that you're done with this series, but El Camino you will love. Marian, you need to curse more. You let loose in this one and it was refreshing. ๐Ÿคฃ Stay awesome you two. I still hope to be able to buy you a beer someday.
