2023-01-28 19:09:59 +0000 UTCThere's a prequel to this movie made in 2011 that is set at the Norwegian camp and explains how the ship that was buried under the ice is found and the attack on the camp is shown and why it was destroyed before mcready landed there in this movie...its not bad for a prequel but ends perfectly at the end credits of the dog escaping and the Norwegian helicopter chasing after it..it's called the thing 2011...its worth a watch if you liked this movie

An arctic research team finds a spaceship frozen in ice and the creature that crawled away from wreck also frozen in ice. They bring the block of ice with the creature back to camp and one idiot leaves an electric blanket on the ice thawing out the creature which they then have to fight. 2022-08-12 11:01:16 +0000 UTCI love this movie. Fun fact, at the beginning of the movie, the norwegian was trying to warn them about the thing. What he said was "Get the hell away from that thing. That's not a dog, it's some sort of thing! It's imitating a dog, it isn't real! GET AWAY YOU IDIOTS!!"
