finally we started the next series of the Star Wars. We enjoyed seeing the small Anakin and the young Obi-Wan together again!

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) Reaction

very true! the level of maturity in the 70s star wars was huge! we could see their emotions, sad moments combined with happy ones.. exciting and table-turning. they thought mainly that ''dont worry CGI will save us'' but the whole concept of Star Wars is ''how a hand of people can save the universe''

I'm also one who didn't like 1-2-3 much. The #1 problem as I see it is Lucas forgot to tell a good story. All the characters seem fake. There is no one fun to watch like Luke Skywalker or Han Solo. There is no interesting relationship like Han and Leia. You can't make up for that with lots of CGI. Anakin is one of the fakest kids you've ever seen. Putting child characters into adult movies is tricky because there is a fine line between being cute and being obnoxious. You mentioned Natalie Portman in THE PROFESSIONAL. Now that was a great child character. And then Episodes 2 and 3 are huge missed opportunities, but I'll wait to comment on those 😊

hahaha yeaaa XD

Great reaction, you two! Very fun! Best line in the reaction when Marian said "Did I not tell ya, man......I was a hunter my whole life!" Haha that was great! :)

Great reaction, folks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Episode 1 is the one that gets most of the tough criticism. Episode 3 is the favorite of this trilogy so it only gets better from here. The Sith are beings with Force skills that use their power for the Dark Side, for evil. Their Force training is a lot more harsh and darker than the Jedi. Darth Vader was considered the most powerful Sith of his time. “The Acolyte” is a new Disney+ series coming that will show the secrets of the Sith and how Dark Side Force powers are developed. I can't wait for that one! Marian is very perceptive but I will not confirm any of his theories. Sorry, no spoilers from me. 😁

It was more fun watching this with you guys then it was watching it when it came out. My thoughts on why people don't like this one that much. It had been 16 years since the last movie Return of the Jedi so how can any new movie live up to waiting that long. And for a lot of us, maybe we didn't want to see Darth Vader as a little kid. He was so powerful and iconic and scary and we wanted him to stay that way. Nobody wants to see a movie about Thanos as a teenager. George Lucas had young kids in 1999 and clearly he wanted to make a movie for young kids and not older adult Star Wars fans (a lot of people HATE Jar Jar). Of course he created Star Wars so he can do whatever he wants. I think younger kids actually prefer the prequels.
