"Say hello to my little friend" ... finally we can understand that phrase now! 😅

Scarface (1983) Movie Reaction

Comments

Marian/Frencis, I finally saw your Scarface reaction and this was a joy to watch. They asked Al Pacino in an interview what was his fav movie that he made, and he said Scarface... He said he actually enjoyed making it and that it was a hard but fun process. Al Pacino actually rented a house in Miami and lived in a Cuban community for three months in order to prepare for his role...he studied the accents, mannerisms etc and I must admit he was really good. In the beginning Pacino didn't know if he wanted to make this movie or not, so they offered it to Robert De Niro and Scorsese was going to direct it...De Niro talked to his friend Al and told him, "This is a very good project...you better accept the role because if you don't, I will" So Pacino said yes lol I know you guys love Pacino, so in the future when you have time...I suggest "Carlito's Way" (1993), Pacino plays a Puerto Rican from NYC who's former Mob guy who wants to get out of that life after he was released from prison. It is similar to Scarface because the same Director (Brian De Palma) that directed Scarface also directed Carlito's Way. Donnie Brasco is another good one with Pacino and Johnny Depp. And "Heat" (1995) is the best one because Pacino and De Niro finally reunite in this movie...they play enemies (cop vs bank robber) I'd leave this one for last after you see Donnie and Carlito's!!

tooks us by surprise honestly when we hear him.

Al Pacino practiced his accent a lot for this movie and it shows.
