Note: Switching to Subscription Billing

Just a quick note to inform folks that I'm switching the Patreon from its current billing method to Subscription Billing.

If you are a current Patron: This will not affect you, you shouldn't see a difference and you'll continue to be charged on the 1st of the month.

If you are a new Patron or if you cancel then re-pledge: You'll be charged when you (re)join and then monthly on that same date for as long as you remain a patron, just like any typical subscription. You can see your next charge date at checkout and in your Active Memberships tab.

I'm doing this because at present, if someone signs up at the end of the month, or even the 1st of the month before Patreon's billing cycle kicks in, folks can end up being either double charged in a very short space of time, or they can find their membership lasts for only a day or so (if they signed up on the 30th for example.)

This is pretty unfair to you Patrons, so I've been offering and issuing refunds when this happens, but it was never a neat system, so hopefully this new billing method will work better all round!

Perks and rewards will still be available from the 2nd of each month.

Thanks as ever for your support. I couldn't keep the site running or pay the video editor to produce the number of vids I do each month without you.
