{ space tier+ } general update 06.10.25

hello everyone!! i hope you're all doing well as usual =v=

it's been a good bit since i did a General update for even space tier, so i figured i'd do one of these to let you all know where my head's been at, especially in light of the new DELTARUNE chapters releasing!

as of writing this, i've now finished my Casual digging through of the new chapters (normal + weird runs, a bit of datamining, some additional secrets i learned of from others), and i'm only really missing aborted weird route runs, and a bit of digging around in "default state" saves to see what, if anything, stays permanent/carries over between save files. i frankly...am still processing exactly How i feel about the new chapters, but i can say that it's, as before, had a pretty profound effect on me and i'm VERY happy with what we all got. it was very fun seeing so many people's expectations completely flipped on their head upon playing the new chapters (and even my own!), although, word on the street is apparently TDT's held up surprisingly well to the new stuff >:)

but, with all of that said! i want to make this post as a general idea for what i want to do now that i've seen all the Important new stuff. i think it goes without saying that the next video will 1000% be a new installment in the "DELTARUNE and the Fourth Wall" series. however, i won't be framing it as a "PART 4" to it, since implying that people need to watch 10 entire hours of video to just learn about the new stuff is a pretty tough ask. rather, it will be following up on THE DEVICE THEORY to see what held up, and what didn't generally, but overall, i want it to be more in the spirit of the first few parts: an overview of all the secrets and obscure shit about the new chapters so that all information about it that i find interesting, can be easily compiled into one Thing. it Will include some theorizing, and honestly it'll be also focused quite a bit on character analysis and some New questions raised about some of our main characters, but all in all, i want it to first and foremost, be a good compilation of everything new that's been uncovered.

naturally, because of what this video intends to be...you can expect this one will be pretty long. my rough ballpark guess is between 3-4 hours, honestly. but, it COULD be less, i really don't know at this stage, but i can tell you that i don't want it to be anywhere that close to PART 3 in length because I Don't Want To Fucking Do That Again. thankfully, i think i've gotten better at brevity since then, and it should go more smoothly in the writing stages this time! however, that doesn't mean this will come out necessarily Soon...

see, my plan right now, is to just enjoy the new chapters casually first. i kind of just want to enjoy the fandom of it, appreciate how it's impacted me emotionally, let loose for a bit before i really dig into it with a more analytical lens. i want to change my approach and not think about it like we need to answer every question that's been raised; Chapter 5 is coming out in, for all i know, less than a year from now, and there's no way realistically that the well will be run dry before then with how much we got. so i think the best call is to just look at it for the incomplete work it is, and be completely fine with not tying everything together because we actually know now how long it will be before we get even more. i just want there to be a good record of everything, above all else! so, i'm going to take my time with this next video (especially while DELTARUNE is still getting patched) and just make sure that i get everything just right so that it holds up just as, if not even better than TDT 1-3 did. this means that for this month, i won't have much to show wrt the next video, but starting in July onwards, that should change pretty quickly. as i've been doing, i'll let star tiers and above take a look at the script early once it's ready to go, and there'll be sneak peeks/progress updates as i go!

...for the time being though...comet tiers and above may have some things to look forward to this month and on occasion while im working on the vid >:) i would have locked in on just the video, but, i really don't see the point in that now tbh. from here, the schedule should be a lot more cleared up, and i want to stick to something more consistent after a...rather Quiet first half. fingers crossed that it works out!

i think that's all i have to say for this one! in short, i really enjoyed the new Chapters, i hope to start working on the vid for it soon, but it'll be a bit since i want to be sure i get everything down just right. and, alongside it, i'm hoping to balance it with comet tier related things and just. enjoy myself rather than look at it like a list of things i need to check off.
