{ space tier+ } Part 3 progress update 07.06.24

another month, another progress update! hope yall have been well ^^ as usual, production on Part 3 has been going especially well, and only getting better, and in fact, i am feeling even more confident that i can finish this thing soon than ever!

last time i did an update for space tier, i was in the middle of working on SECTION 3 OF 6 for Part 3, iirc! since then, the percentage of completion of the main video has gone from 53% completion, to 71.3% as i am writing this!! OVER TWO THIRDS DONE!!!

that might seem a bit slower compared to the massive leap that i had in progress in the last update, however, i'm more confident than ever because the things i do have done, have now helped me narrow down the release window for this project much, much more easily. at 71.3%, the first 4 sections of Part 3 are now fully edited, and i am now actually slowly but surely starting up editing for SECTION 5 of the video, which is the last particularly longer section that i have left to do! as for why it took until now to start SECTION 5, while i had finished SECTION 4 well earlier in June (the 15th specifically), i ended up taking a break from editing the main video to try to decompress and make sure that editing wasn't burning me out in any way, since i really do not want to burn out at what is effectively going to be the last leg of production for Part 3. however, that break was not entirely spent just doing whatever! while i had a full week buffer to really decompress, i've also used the past few weeks off to pretty much chop down a massive list of non-video components that i needed for Part 3 that, due to not having been prepared yet, made narrowing down the release of Part 3 rather hazy, to say the least.

i can't exactly go too into it since it's mostly secretive in nature, but a lot of secret shit, as well as some last assets that i needed for these last few sections, have now been fully prepared, and aside from editing the last 2 sections and outro of the video, i only have some loose ends with the secret side of things that i hope to be able to tie up soon, and adding in the patron secrets, and making one more teaser video, and...that's honestly it! it may still sound like quite a bit of work, but compared to what's already been done, the stuff that's left to do really feels super manageable to me at this point. and, keeping this between us? i think July may very well be the last full month i need to lock in on Part 3 before it starts, finally, wrapping up production. i'm incredibly god damn excited to finally say that.

SECTION 5 is effectively the last major hurdle i need to jump before i can start saying i have this video in the bag proper. it's not like SECTION 6 or the outro are particularly gonna be a complete cakewalk to do, but SECTION 5 is the last bit related to this project that really feels like its gonna test my endurance and Ability in some way, and from there on, i should be able to ride the rest of this thing's production out very smoothly. i have a decent idea of how long SECTION 5 will probably take me, but i'm going into it expecting some complications because this is The Gaster Section effectively, and i have no idea how hard im gonna feel like going on it. it surprisingly doesn't seem as esoteric as something like SECTION 3, so i can't imagine it would be exhausting in that regard, and hell, i've been honestly excited to do this particular bit of the video for a while, but, it's really hard to say what it's gonna be like. but, the longer i stall on that, the longer we all have to wait, so i'm only gonna know once i actually get deeper into it! regardless, i'm excited to finally be reaching this video's, "climax", in essence.

overall, i don't think i have much more to say for this one! things are going well, and now that i've prepared pretty much everything i needed to that wasn't the main video, it's going to make finishing the main video a lot easier on me in general. i'm honestly starting to enter the point where i almost don't want to say much more since i'd rather save it for when i finally get to officially announce this damn thing!

as i always say, your support through all of this means more than i can ever put into words. it means a ton, and i'm so excited to finally be able to share what i've been cooking up. for star tiers and above, you can bet there'll be some more sneak peeks before Part 3 is done proper, but probably only a few more posts of that sort at the rate i'm going. we are slowly but surely hitting the point where i should probably start actually getting the word out about it >:)
