{ star tier+ } Part 3 sneak peeks 06.07.24

hello once again!!!

since the last time i shared sneak peeks, i'm now very happy to once again announce that ANOTHER SECTION of Part 3 has been completed! SECTION 3 of 6 is now fully edited, and we've gone up from 37% to 59% completed as a whole! WE'RE OVER HALFWAY THROUGH!!!

this section definitely gave me more challenges than i initially thought it would; because it's where i go over the game's diegesis proper, there were definitely more moments than i expected where i had to put together a diagram or some Other kind of more complex visual to convey what i was talking about, so it took just the slightest bit longer than i would've hoped. but, i've pulled through, and now over half of the video is finished, barring the outro!! as i get through more of this, i only become more confident in being able to finish this thing sooner rather than later. hell, at this point, i can now say for certain this thing is going to be finished before October of this year! and if it keeps up, it'll likely track with my internal date for when this thing is likely going to be finished, so, you may not have to wait much longer at this rate... >:)

i don't have any out of context clips to share for this one, but as usual, i have some more sneak peek frames for yall to see to get a feel for what this section is looking like!

i'm currently going to take just a few days off, as i did after SECTION 2's completion, however it will not be very long at all before i start work on SECTION 4, which is one of the much shorter sections in comparison to the previous two that i just did. in fact, there's a good chance i'll even finish editing SECTION 4 in the same week that i start it, so, you may get even more sneak peeks pretty soon once that one is finished! after SECTIONS 1-4 are done though, i will be taking a more substantial break from editing just to ensure that i'm not gonna burn out for the last leg of production. the first week off of editing will be entirely to detox, but after that, i plan to use the gap between SECTION 4 and 5 to work on...literally everything else related to Part 3 that isn't the video itself. a song i wanna work on for the end of it, the end bumper that i usually try to do for my video outros, preparing a teaser video or two, and of course, the Secret Stuff, both my own secrets and the moon/NULL tier's. that all will definitely take a good bit, honestly i'm willing to say at least a few weeks to do, but we'll see how it goes. i just know i want to wrap up as much of the non-SECTION stuff as possible before i start the last third of the video, so that once that percentage hits 100%, i pretty much have ONLY the outro left to do. i think once i start SECTION 5 is when the release window is especially going to be more narrowed down, so the gap between 4 and 5 is going to be a bit of a hectic period of really finalizing Part 3's aesthetic/identity before i start slowly but surely wrapping things up for this video's production.

it's...honestly kind of surreal how i'm closer to the end of this thing now. i still feel like i'm in the trenches, and with how much i have to do outside of editing these 6 sections, it still feels like there's so much left to do. but, this is also the fun part that i'm approaching now: everything i'm about to do after SECTION 4, is the biggest reason why i've been so consistent in working on this thing, and i'm probably going to have A Lot of fun doing these other components for Part 3. it feels, again, surreal to say, but i think from here on, the looming presence that Part 3 has had over my head is finally starting to dissipate just a bit. it's not this insurmountable thing for me to scale anymore, there's actually a manageable amount left to do, and that's only going to feel more like the case once i work on these other components. i don't know how long the other assets for this thing will take, but i do know that each and every one of them will have made editing this behemoth of a project so much more worth it. Part 3 kind of serves a triple purpose, one of them being to explain the theory, one of them being to showcase my spiral into analytical madness using the theory, and then to me, most importantly, the last one being to act as a gateway to what i want to cook up well beyond TDT; maybe it's sort of me saying "hey, i'm more than this, and it's okay if you don't care about that, but it's not a part i'm able to ignore". it's a bit more than just a theory video to me at this point, and while i've had some doubts here and there about if i can even manage to make a video this big at all, i know i promised myself that no matter what this turns into, that i'm seeing it through to the fullest. so, to see i'm finally at the point now where i have more of it finished than i do have that's Not finished, really helps a lot to keep me motivated for this later half of production. it's going to feel weird not having TDT on my mind as much after this, lol.

but, that's enough rambling from me for now. again, i'll be taking a few days off, but not long at all before i tackle one more section, and then take a more proper break to focus on other things related to Part 3. production has only been getting more steady, and as i knock out more sections, it's only getting more manageable for me to imagine this as a full, complete Thing. the support and patience i've gotten over the months for this series has really meant so much, and i can't be thankful enough for what i've been given just from doing the first few parts alone. i really, really hope people enjoy Part 3 even if some things in it end up not making sense or not holding up or not being entirely correct or whatever. TDT was never about me being right, i just want these thoughts out of my damn head already and i want them to be everyone else's problem >:)
